Our Mission
The Executive Service Corps seeks to strengthen the overall effectiveness of nonprofit organizations throughout the Roaring Fork Valley. We do this by using seasoned executives and professionals to deliver high-quality nonprofit consulting and educational services.
Our Vision
The Executive Service Corps will be known in the nonprofit community as the leading provider of excellent consulting services and helpful, pertinent seminars at a cost any nonprofit organization can afford.
The ESC will sustain a cadre of over 40 experienced executives and professionals who have been trained in the ESC discipline. We will be able to accept assignments from any nonprofit that contacts us, and our annual caseload will be sufficient to keep our consultants consistently involved and current with ESC affairs.
The ESC will be a model of best practices for nonprofit management and governance.
The ESC will be integral to the contributions that Colorado Mountain College, the CMC Foundation, and the Aspen Community Foundation make to the growth, development, and humanity of our community.
A Brief History
The Executive Service Corps was conceived and founded in 1998 by the Aspen Community Foundation, and it operated as a program of the ACF until 2005, when the current relationship with Colorado Mountain College was initiated. Today, the Aspen Community Foundation continues to provide consistent and crucial support for ESC programs and workshops; and Colorado Mountain College shares its resources with the ESC in furtherance of the common mission of enhancing our communities through education. We are grateful to both of these outstanding organizations.
The ESC is a Colorado nonprofit corporation and an IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Since its founding in 1998, ESC consultants have given enormous amounts of time and talent to help Roaring Fork Valley nonprofit leaders function more efficiently and effectively. The ESC has completed more than 150 consulting engagements for over 100 nonprofit organizations since 1998, and has presented nearly 100 workshops on topics of importance to the nonprofit sector.
The ESC is a member of the Executive Service Corps Affiliate Network, ESCAN, an affiliation of 30-plus other Executive Service Corps throughout the nation.
